Message from the Editor-in-Chief

It is with great pride and a profound sense of responsibility that we introduce the inaugural edition of the University of Bahri Medical Journal (UBMJ).

As the medical landscape continues to evolve at an unprecedented pace, the need for a dedicated platform to document and disseminate local and regional medical research has never been more urgent. The University of Bahri, through the collaborative efforts of the College of Medicine, the Deanship of Academic Research, and our IT Services, has established UBMJ to meet this need. Our goal is to provide a rigorous, peer-reviewed forum for the exchange of knowledge that is both scientifically significant and clinically transformative.

Our journal is born out of a commitment to "Evidence-Based Excellence." While we welcome high-quality research from across the globe, we feel a special calling to highlight the unique health challenges faced by communities in Sudan and the broader region. From the management of tropical diseases to the optimization of healthcare delivery in resource-limited settings, UBMJ aims to publish work that doesn't just sit on a shelf, but actively informs the decisions of clinicians and policymakers.

We recognize that the strength of any journal lies in the quality of its contributors and the integrity of its review process. To our authors: we promise a transparent, fair, and constructive peer-review experience. To our reviewers: we thank you for your indispensable role in maintaining the highest academic standards.

We invite you to join us on this journey as authors, reviewers, and readers as we strive to advance medical science and improve the health outcomes of our society.
